The maps for this GPS device are maintained by Sensis. They are the same maps as used on their whereis.com.au website.

If you want to see any mistakes you find fixed, you can report them here:

anomalies{ at }sensis.com.au

I find Sensis to be very responsive and even grateful to get notified of errors. I have advised them of several and have had positive reponse each time. They then add these changes to their next revision, which hopefully TomTom will then put into their next revision without undue delay.

Cheers

<a href="#comment-29430" rel="nofollow">Alan</a>,

Yes, that's the intended behaviour. The TomTom GO 710 continually adjusts the zoom factor of the main navigation view—closer in when you're near your next turn, farther out when it's a long way away—and any manual changes you make only stay in effect for a few seconds.

If you want to watch an overview of your entire route instead of the close-up view of your current position, you can tap the trip information area on the main screen to see the route overview screen instead.

If you want to watch an arbitrary map view instead of the close-up view of your current position, you can go into the device's menu and choose Browse Map and adjust the view as desired.

Voice prompts and other navigation features will continue to work in whichever view you select.

I have just bought a 710 and find that when you zoom out on the viewer after a short while it reverts back to a close up view, which is not aht you always want.
Is this the same with yours????

I've been thinking of getting a GO910. I recently moved to Europe and have taken a few road trips already and have plenty more planned. Getting lost in prague at night isn't fun! So, I think it's time I buy one.
